Objectif de l'UE
The objective of this discipline is for the students to build on the facies and facies associations knowledge gained in Sedimentology 1, improve their knowledge on architectural elements, and to have some notions of depositional environments and basic sequence stratigraphy.

Additionally, classification of sedimentary rocks under the microscope will also be taught during this course, and potentially be shown in the practicals.

Contenu des enseignements
The course is based on CMs:
• Principles of sequence stratigraphy
• Terrestrial depositional environments
• Paralic depositional environments
• Marine depositional environments

And TDs:
• Classification of sedimentary rocks and how to describe them
• Classification of sedimentary rocks under the microscope
