Introduction to PETREL
Description
The course will describe the Petrel software and introduce students to its use, with a combination of lectures and practical work on computers
Compétences requises
· It is necessary that the course attendees have a basic understanding of petroleum geology and E&P environment. If these pre-requisites are lacking, ‘A Quick introduction to G&G data’ course is highly advisable.
· The attendees need to be proficient in English.
· Basic computer skills
Compétences visées
By the end of this class, students should be able to:
· Demonstrate a basic knowledge of Petrel geomodelling software
· Create project from scratch
· Import data (seismic, wells, well logs)
· Utilize that data for Interpretation and modelling of a 3D subsurface model.
