EC
Continuum Mechanics : large deformations formalism
Description
In this course the student should acquire the basic knowledge in solid mechanics :
- Fundamentals for plasticity of metals and polymers and phenomenological aspects of the plastic flow behaviour;
- Presentation of constitutive equations in plasticity and visco-plasticity and the numerical modelling of these theories (application to metals and polymers);
- Introduction to damage behaviour of materials;
- Special emphasis in the implementation of different material models into octave scripts or FORTRAN/python codes.
Compétences visées
- Assimilate the main concept of material behaviour.
