• Laboratories in quantum engineering technologies

These laboratory courses involve performing state-of-the-art advanced experiments on research-like setups, in most cases embedded in research teams in ongoing research activities. It presents opportunities for individual work and training, as well as first glimpse into current research in the laboratories. We propose experiments in the fields of scanning probe microscopy, clean-room fabrication, 2D materials, time-resolved optical studies, optical trapping, quantum electronics or optics, spin electronics, quantum computing…. Within a two times one week period, the students work in teams (2-3) to check the literature, perform experiments under guidance of experts in the field, analyse and present the results.
