Description

Cosmology:
=========

The cosmology part will be in the continuation of the main course, with a focus on low-energy phenomena and the main challenges of modern cosmology. We will also discuss the technical and methodologies of some cosmological probes.

We will cover the following subjects:
- The observation and analysis of the cosmic microwave background
- The Dark sector: Dark Matter and Dark Energy
- The buildup of large scale structures in the era of great surveys
- Inflationary cosmology

Astroparticle physics / Cosmic radiations
===============================

The astroparticle physics / cosmic radiations part (10 hours) is the continuation of the main lecture, with a focus on low and high energy neutrino astronomy, gravitational wave astronomy, and their interconnection through multimessenger astronomy - a domain born after the detection of neutrinos detected with IceCube in correlation with a Blazar flare in the electromagnetic domain (TXS0506+056), and the detection of electromagnetic emissions in coincidence with a gravitational wave signal (GW170817), both in 2017. We will discuss the main technical and data analysis challenges of both types of astronomies.
