Description

This course on "Mineral Resources" provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the geological processes underlying the formation of mineral deposits, the exploration and assessment techniques used to identify viable resources, and the sustainable exploitation and management practices necessary for responsible mining operations. Through case studies and practical exercises, students also explore the socio-economic and environmental impacts of mineral extraction, as well as emerging trends and future challenges facing the mining industry.

Compétences requises

Basic geological concepts (rock types, plate tectonics, geological processes), basics in mineralogy.
