Description

This course exposes the fundamentals regarding analog signals and systems (deterministic continuous-time signals). It also presents temporal representations, frequency representations, as well as filtering and applications, and spectral analysis. Introduction : signals and systems. Representation and classification of signals. Harmonic analysis of continuous-time signals : Fourier series and Fourier transforms. Correlation. Discrete signals and systems. Filtering, Z-transform

Applications:

  • Integrator-derivator circuits

  • RADAR system

  • Echo cancellation

  • Speech scrambling system

  • Matched filters and pattern recognition

Compétences requises

Basic course in linear algebra and functional analysis

Compétences visées

  • Filtering, spectral analysis.

  • Basic knowledge in analog communications.
