Description
The aim is to:
- Confront complex questions in international strategic management by breaking them up into smaller, analytical, more manageable ones,
- Bring evidence to bear on particular questions in international business,
- Develop hypotheses and form conclusions based on available evidence,
- Integrate the development of innovation strategy, innovation management and planning within the international strategic management process.
Compétences visées
Upon completion of the course students should:
- Develop their capacity to think strategically about a company, its present position, its long-term direction, its resources and competitive capabilities, the calibre of its strategy and its opportunities for gaining sustainable competitive advantage and build breakthrough innovations,
- Develop their skills in conducting strategic analysis in a variety of industries and competitive situations and especially to provide a stronger understanding of the competitive challenges of the global market environment,
- Gain experience in crafting business strategy, reason carefully about strategic options, use “what if” analysis to evaluate action alternatives and make sound strategic decisions.
