Description

The objective of this course is to enable students to understand and experience today's European politics and challenges.

The construction of its common institutions and the challenges of Europe today.

The course provides students with the necessary basic knowledge on the historical development of common European institutions over recent decades as well as the roles and functions of these institutions, knowledge crucial for our understanding of European politics today.

This basic knowledge of the origins and development of European institutions, as well as their roles and functions, is complemented by practical applications, resulting in analyzes of real case studies and particular policy issues, field work and class discussions on contemporary issues in European politics.

The course is composed of classroom sessions as well as study visits to major European institutions.
